About the role
As Head of Embedded Hardware and Electronics at EmDoT, you will be responsible for:
- Leadership and Strategy: Lead the Embedded Hardware and Electronics department, setting strategic goals and ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of embedded systems, ensuring they meet quality, budget, and timeline requirements.
- Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance and support in the design, development, and testing of embedded hardware systems.
- Production Oversight: Manage the production process for large-scale manufacturing of embedded devices, ensuring efficiency and quality control.
- Collaboration: Work closely with software, and other engineering teams to integrate hardware solutions seamlessly.
- Innovation: Drive continuous improvement and innovation in hardware design and development processes.
- Compliance and Standards: Ensure all hardware designs comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Requirements and qualifications
To be successful as Head of Embedded Hardware and Electronics at EmDoT, you should have:
- At least 10 years of proven experience as Embedded Hardware and Firmware Engineer, or a similar role., with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Significant experience in large productions (thousands of embedded devices) and certification processes.
- Strong knowledge of embedded systems, analog and digital circuit design, and microcontroller programming. Good knowledge of IIoT communication protocols and modules. Familiarity with automotive standards is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team of engineers.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and project management skills.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
