About the role

As Data Scientist and Machine Learning Engineer at EmDoT, you will be responsible for:

  • Analyzing, interpreting, and communicating data and insights.
  • Creating models for system processes and algorithms to forecast outcomes using Machine Learning techniques and statistics.
  • Designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining Machine Learning pipelines.
  • Monitoring model performance and data quality.
  • Translating business requirements to technical requirements for producing effective and efficient analytics solutions.
  • Documenting design specifications and implementation details.
  • Conducting thorough testing and debugging to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Collaborating with other team members including Firmware, Hardware, Software and Mechanical Engineers to ensure alignment towards our goals.

Requirements and qualifications

To be successful as Data Scientist and Machine Learning Engineer at EmDoT, you should have:

  • At least 5 years of proven experience as Data Scientist and Machine Learning Engineer.
  • A university degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Advanced programming and software engineering skills in Python.
  • Strong background in calculus, linear algebra, probability, and statistics.
  • Solid experience with common libraries like Pandas, Numpy, Scikit-learn, Plotly, Matplotlib, etc.
  • Strong data modeling and data architecture skills.
  • Knowledge of Cloud computing (preferably Microsoft Azure), databases, REST APIs and MLOps tools.
  • Familiarity with Data Engineering practices is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, meet deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Creativity, curiosity, and a passion for learning new things.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
